Off the Water Walks

Our membership is an active bunch – and many of us enjoy other outdoor pursuits as well as watersports. A group of members go for a hike from time to time, exploring the scenery and sometimes the history around our area, and especially enjoying being in the company of like-minded people.

Here are some pictures of a wee expedition in the Pentlands on 19 February 2025, organised by Charles and Alison. We covered about 8 km (5 miles) in a little under 3 hours on this chilly, breezy February day.

The red line shows our route, as captured on the Outdooractive app.
A Chinook on exercise above the snowy hills.
Another shot at the top of Allermuir Hill. I think everyone is facing the camera apart from the stupid dog. (My dog, unfortunately!)
